Found that in Jolie Limo (Joe was great!) and it was cheaper than what we'd paid Karmel! On our scheduled return to the airport, Richard was our driver and he was AWESOME! He was so nice, helped us with bags, great conversation on the way to the airport. Had to refund tickets and scramble to find a service that could help us. Determined to never use Karmel again (there were other things prior to this that were mixed up-we were assured they'd be able to transport the two of us and our scooters to Universal, and we had booked and paid for that service, only to find out that they did NOT have that capability. Finally got a call from our driver saying he was there and guess what? He'd been there the entire time and had even told us 'NO' when we'd checked with him the first time. Airport personnel were trying to help as well. Meanwhile, there were no less than 6 shuttles waiting and we went to each one to see if it might be ours. They said they'd contact driver and he'd be there in 15 minutes. I said I didn't have anything to respond to. I called the company and was asked why I didn't respond to our driver. We had no shuttle, no text from a driver, nothing. Mixed review.on our arrival, the shuttle was a frustrating experience. Next trip to LA we will investigate other options. Sensing that people were not happy about this and concerned about missing flights his driving too became erratic and frightening.
We were happy to finally arrive at our hotel! Our shuttle driver on our return to LAX was at least 30 min late and on the drive informed us he was stopping at Long Beach airport first. Our shuttle to return from Universal was also late and on the return drive he seemed to get frustrated and started weaving in and out of traffic in an unsafe manner. We were told our pickup was 830 but to be outfront at 815.
We also booked a trip to Univeral including park admission. Our driver from LAX to Anaheim was excellent and gave some good tips about things to do.

However we found the drivers and service variable. The shuttles are very clean and in good repair. We used the services of Karmel shuttle several times during a recent trip to Disneyland. If you have a large family definitely worth it!
Driver went above and beyond and got us for no additional! He was an angel, after such a distressing experience!!! I cant even begin to explain how thankful we are for him and for what Karmel agreed to do for us! I Would recommend, but do plan on spending more than you would for uber. Originally dispatch agreed if I would pay and additional $150 that I did not have, on top of the $199, I had already paid for the scheduled trip. Long story short, after much pleading and explaining the desperate situation we were in, dispatch got a hold of the driver who not only agreed to pick up our luggage, but agreed to drive the extra 2.5 miles to come get us so we could make the airport. We were on a tight schedule in order to catch our plane back home and our luggage was all back at the hotel as well. It was a very stressful, scary situation. The problem was we had 7 people, myself and six children and no uber or other shuttles in the area that would take that many! We had taken a metro bus to where we were, but that same bus cancelled without notice to return us. Dispatch at first said they could not do that and that we would need to find another way back to our hotel. I pleaded with dispatch to please send the driver to us which was only 2.5 miles from where we originally were to be picked up, in an area you dont want to be stuck in. Then on our pick up on the way back to the airport John wayne we needed picked up some place other then our scheduled hotel, due to getting stranded without a way back to our hotel, which was a scary adventure in itself. The driver was great though and efficient. Karmel shuttle is a bit spendy for transportation, but they get you to where you need to go! We were a bit sceptacle of our first pick up at the LAX airport when the van arrived with graffiti on the side and no seat belts in two of the seats in front row.
